The Veneranda Fabbrica del Duomo is the long-running institution founded in 1387 by Gian Galeazzo Visconti to manage and construct the Cathedral of Milan. Even today, after 600 years, the Fabbrica still oversees the conservation and enhancement of this extraordinary patrimony of art, culture, and history that is the symbol of Milan.

Rooftops Lift
The Duomo’s Rooftops are one of the most fascinating places in Milan. By climbing the 251 steps to a height of around 50m, you will be able to observe the extraordinary panorama of the city framed by a myriad of statues, spires, embrasures, and flying buttresses. Covered with slabs of Candoglia marble, the Rooftops are spread over an area of 8,000 square metres and from here you will find an extraordinary perspective of the Duomo’s architecture and a truly unique view.
